The US Air Force has launched an interactive website with a virtual jigsaw puzzle that anyone around the world can attempt to solve.

The tricky part is that the puzzle features around 1.2 million pieces. The digital challenge, titled the ‘Million Piece Mission’, was created with a 1.03-gigapixel image showing the fourth building at the National Museum of the US Air Force.

Players can solve the puzzle as a guest, or log in to unlock incentive content such as facts about the museums. The puzzle is separated into thousands of various tile rooms with varying difficulties.

Those attempting the puzzle can earn points in real-time on a universal leaderboard, which ranks players based on the number of pieces they put together, the time spent on a section, as well as their difficulty levels. Try it for yourself here.
