Yesterday I published a blog post and video about the free email etiquette posters that I created and how you can have them professionally printed by Canva. Unfortunately, Canva's free printing offer is only available to teachers in the United States who have Canva for Education accounts. Furthermore, it's only valid for one day (August 26th). Fortunately, I have a solution to those problems. If you have designed a poster in Canva or with a similar graphic design tool, save your design as a PDF. Then use Block Posters to print your poster for free on your own printer. Block Posters is a web-based tool to which you can upload a high quality graphic then divide it into letter-sized chunks...
Even during the summer, educators are always thinking about returning to school, particularly when it comes to back-to-school activities. Learning never stops, whether engaged in professional development through conferences or online events, reading books, listening to podcasts, or exploring new ideas and reflecting. During the school year, time is hard to find as teachers focus on students’ skills and needs and explore ideas to create a supportive, meaningful, and engaging learning environment. Each classroom is unique and with the right focus and lessons and activities, we can immerse students in authentic and meaningful learning opportunities and create a space where students can thrive together. Starting the new school year off right makes all the difference I am constantly trying to...
Each week in Refill, the Pen Addict Members newsletter, I publish Ink Links as part of the additional content you receive for being a member. And each week, after 10 to 15 links, plus my added commentary on each, I'm left with many great items I want to share. Enter Misfill. Here are this weeks links: — Reel lives: how I tracked down the class of NME’s C86 album (The Guardian) — My big red ink swab fest. (Fountain pen blog) — #50: parker jotter (xl) (a fleeting ripple) — Practical Planning: How I Use Planners (The Gentleman Stationer) — Making a book (in Japan) (Art vs. Entropy) — Dominant Industry Citrus Yellow on Midori MD (Inkcredible Colours) — Dinosaur...
Ravensburger 3D VW Bus Jigsaw Puzzle OK, I know that I recently made a general jigsaw puzzle page with a collection of my links and said that jigsaw puzzles wouldn't have their own, individual posts any more. But this plastic Volkswagen 3D jigsaw puzzle is just too cool not to be given a platform and discussed. Ravensburger, my favorite name in jigsaw puzzles, has many 3D puzzles with plastic pieces. I have several and they are all round. Never have I owned, or even seen, one shaped like a VW bus - until now. This puzzle has a chassis, rolling wheels, a hard top, and a luggage rack. Like I said, it's cool. Looking into the box, before assembly. There...
If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, SPY.com may receive an affiliate commission. The SPY team loves our moms, and so we take a lot of pride in picking out the best gifts for mom no matter the occasion. In fact, we’re already hard at work picking out the best Christmas gifts for moms before summer is even over. We know that finding the perfect gift idea can be a challenge, but we have good news: your mom would probably be happy with a nice card, a phone call or a visit. Even so, it never hurts to treat her to something a little extra special. Instead of going out and buying...
