...y'all know that my dear old college chum Amy lives pretty close to us now...and she was coming to lunch...so I fixed up a festive table... ...and got a few little gifties ready for her arrival...a simple little Christmas tree ornament... ...and since she has long hair...like mine...I thought I'd make her one of the little hair-doodie-scrunchie-thingies that I use to pull my hair back...but this one turned out wonky... ...so I just decided to keep it...and make her another...prettier one...haha...
...I've been just pulling my hair up in a high 'pony'...looping it through the scrunchie-thingy twice and then on the third time...just pulling it halfway through...making a little bun-like loop...it keeps it out of my face and I don't have a swishing 'tail'...haha...
...I'll be donating it one last time next year...I know I've said that before...but I think this reall will be the last time...haha... ...so here's her less wonky one... ...and she graciously brought lunch...this delicious vegan chick-un salad sammie...it was so delicious...it had macadamia nuts and cranberries...very festive... ...and I used one of my cherished flowering teas to make us a lovely pot of tea... ...and poor ol' Jack...gave me his saddest-most-pitiful-I'm starving-face... ...but...to no avail...he finally gave up... ...Amy and I exchange little gifts for birthdays and Christmas...nothing extravagant... ...I kind of hate to give someone a pandemic related gift...but Amy is very careful and always takes her own utensils with her...so I made her a little case for them...and the silverware inside is left over from our Boy Scout days... ...and she gave me these absolutely adorable little knitting themed socks... ...I love them...obvi...
...we had such a nice visit...and hopefully we'll be able to get together more often next year...
~Have a lovely day!
