Countryside Garden Wedding at Park Winters

[section title=”The Planning”]

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]Bella & Billy had a very distinct vision coming into the wedding planning process. Bella was the main visionary behind the overall aesthetic. When she pictured their beloved wedding day, a classic English Countryside Garden vibe and design is what came to mind. The couple prioritized an intimate wedding to be able to spend time with all who attended. Every guest had their own personal impact on the couple’s love story and relationship.[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]Bella and Billy have been together for 8 glorious years and originally met in Davis, California while attending college at UC Davis. The two were coworkers at their apartment complex and bonded over pizza deliveries to their residents! When the day came to propose, Billy planned a date on their 6-year anniversary. With the help of Bella’s cousin, Billy had arranged a wine tasting date at Domaine Chandon Winery in Napa Valley. When they arrived, there was a large arrangement of Bella’s favorite flowers and a violinist playing Taylor Swift’s “Love Story.” (Are you crying yet!?) Billy got down on one knee, recited “Love Story” lyrics, and proposed. He even thought to dress up their dog in a bow tie for the occasion![/field]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]Bella’s wedding gown had clean and simple lines with embroidery detailing and a beautiful train with an oversized bow to top it off. She was a vision of timeless beauty in her gown and fit with the delicate aesthetic of the rest of their wedding. Bella had a dress change for the reception with a lighter linen dress, ankle length to show off her adorable shoes. It was the perfect outfit to dance the night away![/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]Bella’s bridesmaids dresses ranged in color, style, and pattern. While some were in dusty blue, others chose to lean toward the sea foam green. Some chose classic chiffon and pleats, while others chose delicate florals. The group did a lovely job of staying within a similar color palette, but all together the variation they provided was such a fun layer to their group photos. [/field]
[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]Billy and his groomsmen were all dressed in classic black tuxes with black bowties and suspenders to finish of their suave looks. You can never go wrong with a clean, classic, and timeless black tux ensemble! [/field]

[section title=”The Details”]
[field title=”Food & Drink”]Park Winters was the couple’s venue and also provided the catering and bar service. Park Winters has their very own farm on property and uses multiple ingredients grown onsite within their menus and dishes. One of our favorite appetizers during cocktail hour was the Tuna Poke featuring wakame, soy, sesame, green onion, and miso aioli served elegantly in individual porcelain spoons. The couple also had custom signature cocktails to tribute Billy’s bartending profession! Mickey, their beloved dog who had just passed shortly before the wedding, was honored in having one of the cocktails named after him and custom illustrated cocktail napkins of the pup’s portrait. Their signature cocktails were “Bella’s White Linen Sour,” “Billy’s Hojicha Old Fashioned,” and “Mickey’s Blueberry Mojito.”[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Fig & Vine created the stunning arrangements and personal florals for the entire wedding. From garden gathered bouquets, to the light and beautiful bouttonierres. The ceremony arrangements were some of our personal favorites with the ground aisle arrangements leading up to a stunning broken arch full of cream and blush florals with lush greenery. For the dinner tables, Fig & Vine adorned them with delicate bud vases of various sizes paired with ceramic compotes of naturally styled centerpieces. The full setting was finished off with warm grey tapered candles enclosed in clear hurricane vases for an elevated dinner setting. As for the tablescape decor, Theoni Collection provided sea foam green ceramic chargers and matching velvet napkins. Minimalist gold silverware brought a cozy warmth to the overall aesthetic. Shimmer & Stain provided the parchment paper menus each customized with the guests’ place card attached.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Let Them Eat Cake (Davis Location) provided the extremely tasty two-tiered wedding cake. Iced with a spackled frosting look created a more rustic and natural appeal. Fig & Vine’s florals were tucked delicately in between tiers to complete the look. The wedding cake table was a vintage round side table provided by Blossom Farm Vintage Rentals which fit in perfectly with the garden party design. [/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]One of our personal favorite details was the lounge set up provided by Blossom Farm Vintage Rentals. The mix of a velvet forest green couch, a vintage chestnut leather club chair, a cream and wooden linen chair with brass details, all brought together by a vintage trunk suited as the coffee table pulled together a beautiful scene for guests to sit back, relax, and enjoy the evening. Billy and Bella even thought ahead to provide blankets for their guests when the night got chilly![/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]Another special detail was the couple shared personal vows to each other during their first look. It was such a beautiful moment to treasure with just each other. Tears and smiles were exchanged as Billy & Bella poured their hearts out to one another in the Sunken Gardens of Park Winters. They also recited more traditional vows during their ceremony in the presence of their closest family & friends![/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]We wanted to hear from the couple themselves what their favorite part of their wedding day was and we received this touching feedback.

Bella’s favorite wedding day moment was their first look. She remembers feeling restless all morning, but finally being able to see Billy and spend time together melted the nerves and stress away. She was, “surprised by how emotional I got!”

Billy’s favorite moment were the speeches during the reception. To him, this was when everything finally sank in. He recalls, “hearing our story told through the lens of some of our favorite people, and knowing how much our friends love my wife, I was overwhelmed with happiness at that point!”[/field]
