I cant believe it but the holiday decor is down, kids are back in school, and here we are trying to get back into the normal swing of things again! I love the holiday season and its always a time of year that has so many good memories for me. But even though the mistletoe may be packed away in storage, I wanted to carry forward that spirit of togetherness so that we continue to create memorable moments in our everyday.
I had the incredible opportunity to spend a few hours with the MacKenzie-Childs team as they visited Dallas last Fall, and what I will remember the most is the vivacious energy and contagious passion that I felt when meeting Rebecca Proctor, the MacKenzie-Childs chief brand officer. Its readily apparent that her creative spirit is infused in all of the beautiful hand-crafted MacKenzie-Childs pieces, and it just brings me so much joy every time I use them! Read on to see how Ive updated my kitchen with MacKenzie-Childs and no doubt youll understand how their pieces have been inspiring me to elevate the everyday in my life!

Coffee is a must for me in the mornings and I had been wanting to change up this little open-shelving / coffee area in my kitchen for the longest time! MacKenzie-Childs is known for their iconic tea kettle so I knew that I wanted one in a space that I would see first thing every day. I just love how the kettle combines a bit of whimsy with elegance in its fanciful gooseneck arch and jeweled glass knob on top. I have the 2-quart size here but am wishing that I wouldve done the 3-quart size as its just such a beautiful statement piece! Finally, on the top shelf I placed two mini canisters just for decoration and love how it ties together the beautiful blue and white Royal Check print!
One of the things I love the most about MacKenzie-Childs is how easily the pieces incorporate into what I already have in my home. Add in a few pieces here and there and you can have a statement piece that will carry you over as your grow your collection!
For our dinette area, I continued with pieces from the blue and white Royal Check Collection as I just love that its a print that can be used year-round and has a colorful playful pop that was a great complement to our mid-century modern decor. I also added in the beautifully decorative Sweetbriar Collectionto balance out the print. One of the things I quickly realized after seeing many of the MacKenzie-Childs pieces in person is that they all mix and match so easily! No matter if its a checkered print, stripes, or florals, the colors are made to coordinate.
At 4 and 7 years old, my kids are finally old enough that they dont need special shatter-resistant flatware. And while all MacKenzie-Childs pieces are skillfully hand-painted by talented artisans, its still functional for everyday family life as they are each incredibly sturdy and dishwasher safe! From the instant you pick up any of the MacKenzie-Childs pieces, you can see both the tremendous amount of craftsmanship as well as thoughtfulness that went into each one.
MacKenzie-Childs is a brand that I am truly so happy to introduce into my home. The joy, thoughtfulness, and charm that is at the center of MacKenzie-Childs is something that is felt in every one of its pieces, and I just love that its the backdrop to the memories Im creating with my family everyday.
