Here’s my big list of things I want to accomplish in 2022:
Remodel The Kitchen
I finally got all my painting done in the kitchen and so my part is done. The HH will remove the rest of the kitchen cabinets and sink {and plumbing} in a few days and then we’ll be all ready for the cabinet guys to do their thing.
We’re SO CLOSE!
Oh, and the new registers we ordered arrived. I think they’ll look just a wee bit better than the old ones.
Sell Enough Rugs to Buy an AGA Stove DONE!!!
I hit my goal of selling enough of my 2022 hooked rugs and pillows in my Etsy shop to pay for my new Duck Egg Blue AGA cooker. Now we just have to wait for the cabinets to be installed and then we can have the 800+ pound cooker installed.
Fill the Canning Cupboard
Look at all the home canned goodness! Holy smokes… we’ve been busy this summer.
So far this year I have canned:
- Green Tomato Piccalilli
- Sweet and Spicy Hot Sauce
- Costco Like Salsa
- Basil and Garlic Tomato Sauce
- Tomato Ketchup
- Tomato Bruchetta
- Raspberry Blueberry Jam
- Carrot Cake Jam

- Cinnamon Rhubarb Jam
- Pickled Asparagus
- Ginger Pear Jam
- Spiced Christmas Jam
- Cranberry Sauce
- Split Pea and Ham Soup
- Beef Stew
- Zucchini Relish
- Heirloom Tomato Salsa
Not canned, but in jars:
Earn Enough Money Selling {?????} To Pay For Our 2022 Grocery Tab By The End Of The Year.
I meant to list the acorns last week but a few other projects cropped up and I’ll try again this week.
Eat More Fruits and Vegetables.
While we’re no longer swimming in tomatoes, we still have plenty to snack on. But not for long… I think we only have a week or two left.
Keep The Crafts… In The Craft Room.
Hey, look at that! No crafts on the dining room table, can you believe it? Now I just need to get something hung {maybe one of my larger rugs?} over the sideboard.
Tap Our 2 Maple Trees and Make Maple Syrup {DONE}
It was a good experience, and we’re going to do it again next year {although I would like to find a few more trees to tap so our yield is a bit higher}.
Make a Quilt Top
I just need to cut squares out of the white fabric. And then I think I’ll be shipping all my cut pieces and backing to Camp Zoë to finish it for me. Sometimes you just have to know you’re limits.
1 Craft / Blog Free Day a Week {I’ve had 36 craft/blog free days this year so far.}
No craft/blog free days for me and the puggle princess this past week. With all the Etsy stuff and painting, I hardly had time to sit down and eat.
Be More Intentional With My Time
It was a good week for staying on task.
Keep My Husband Busy
The HH was busy will all his man stuff last week {although I can’t remember what all that was} and he even surprised me with a sack of daffodil bulbs from one of his many trips to The Home Depot. How sweet was that?
The HH’s Honey Do List {so far} for 2022

My House Projects For This Year {so far}
Not only did I finish painting in the kitchen, but I also discovered I could remove the window grids that were in the kitchen window … And so I did. It’s so much nicer now to look out to the kitchen garden with an unobstructed view.
I don’t know why I didn’t think to do it sooner.
Things I need to get done this year:
- Finish painting the outside of the house
Finish painting the inside of the house- Make something to hang above our new console table
- Make it look like people actually live here {working on it!}
-
New window treatment for the kitchen window{Have it, just waiting for the HH to install it}
