My Big List of Goals I’m Going to Accomplish in 2022 Week 45 of 52

Here’s my big list of things I want to accomplish in 2022:

Remodel The Kitchen

Running water in the kitchen. Giddy up! If you’ve ever been without plumbing in the kitchen for any length of time, well, you know how excited I am. And just in time for pie season too. Life is good!

Sell Enough Rugs to Buy an AGA Stove DONE!!!

I hit my goal of selling enough of my 2022 hooked rugs and pillows in my Etsy shop to pay for my new Duck Egg Blue AGA cooker. But since the stove was damaged… We have to wait until the end of May 2023 for the new one to arrive. 🙁

Fill the Canning Cupboard DONE

I think I’m going to crack open a jar or two of the apple pie filling this week and try my hand at apple turnovers.

Have you made those before? Do you have any tips? I still have a box and a half of puff pastry in the fridge but I don’t know, turnovers still seem a little intimidating.

So far this year I have canned:

Not canned, but in jars:

Earn Enough Money Selling {?????} To Pay For Our 2022 Grocery Tab By The End Of The Year.

I’ve decided to move this goal to 2023.

I just didn’t have enough time to devote to this goal this year. I had planned on making a few spinner gourd garlands this year for fall, but there is just too much other stuff going on right now to make it a priority.

Eat More Fruits and Vegetables.

Tis the season for butternut squash. And we’re eating a lot of it.

Keep The Crafts… In The Craft Room.

Hey now, what’s that? A clean {and craft free} dining room two weeks in a row. Let’s see if I can make it 3.

Tap Our 2 Maple Trees and Make Maple Syrup {DONE}

It was a good experience, and we’re going to do it again next year {although I would like to find a few more trees to tap so our yield is a bit higher}.

Make a Quilt Top

My quilt squares and quilting fabric for the background have been shipped off my friend Zoë. Her sewing calendar is pretty full right now, but she has me on her list for January.

I’m excited to see how the quilt turns out.

1 Craft / Blog Free Day a Week {I’ve had 44 craft/blog free days this year so far.}

I was able to stay off the internet one day last week. maybe I should up my game and try for two next year.

Be More Intentional With My Time

I had a very productive week. I baked a lot, stitched 8 pillows together, dyed wool, mailed orders, kept the house picked up {not an easy task} when you’re a full time crafter and even made it outside a few times to enjoy the fall foliage.

When I was out there though, I noticed the day lilies were coming up. That’s not good! It’s been so unseasonably warm here for November though {66 yesterday!} that I think the plants are confused.

I can’t decide if this means we are going to have a wicked cold winter {when it finally arrives} or we aren’t going to get much snow this year. Hmm.

Keep My Husband Busy

The HH kept plenty busy with all his man chores last week but now I have a new one to add to his list.

Clean out the woodstove pipe! I went to light a fire one morning and there was a bunch of creosote on top of the logs {I had set the logs up the night before}.

That’s not good!
