My Big List of Goals I’m Going to Accomplish in 2022 Week 46 of 52

Here’s my big list of things I want to accomplish in 2022:

Remodel The Kitchen

Things are going well on the kitchen front. 😉

Sell Enough Rugs to Buy an AGA Stove DONE!!!

I hit my goal of selling enough of my 2022 hooked rugs and pillows in my Etsy shop to pay for my new Duck Egg Blue AGA cooker. But since the stove was damaged… We have to wait until the end of May 2023 for the new one to arrive.

Fill the Canning Cupboard DONE

This past week I opened 2 jars of apple pie filling, a jar of salsa and a zucchini relish. We need to start eating more jam and ketchup though if I am going to have the canning cupboard empty by next summer.

So far this year I have canned:

Not canned, but in jars:

Earn Enough Money Selling {?????} To Pay For Our 2022 Grocery Tab By The End Of The Year.

I’ve decided to move this goal to 2023.

I just didn’t have enough time to devote to this goal this year. I had planned on making a few spinner gourd garlands this year for fall, but there is just too much other stuff going on right now to make it a priority.

Eat More Fruits and Vegetables.

Lots of potatoes this week. 🙂

Keep The Crafts… In The Craft Room.

Hey now, what’s that? A clean {and craft free} dining room three weeks in a row. Let’s see if I can make it 4.

Tap Our 2 Maple Trees and Make Maple Syrup {DONE}

It was a good experience, and we’re going to do it again next year {although I would like to find a few more trees to tap so our yield is a bit higher}.

Make a Quilt Top

My cut quilt squares and quilting fabric for the background have been shipped off my friend Zoë. Her sewing calendar is pretty full right now, but she has me on her list for January.

1 Craft / Blog Free Day a Week {I’ve had 45 craft/blog free days this year so far.}

I’ve been spending my free time plotting away our next adventure. I think it will include Euros.

Be More Intentional With My Time

Being organized is one of the key componets of my life. Being able to see things up close is pretty helpful too.  I finally broke down and had The Girl get me a magnifying glass. Because clearly, I’m getting old.

Keep My Husband Busy

The HH is now 100% in charge of bringing firewood into the house and walking Lucy. I love the cold weather and the clam that it brings. I just don’t like going outside into the frozen tundra if I don’t have too.

The HH’s Honey Do List {so far} for 2022

  • Take over cooking {I’ll still do the baking and canning}
  • Cut down the cluster of trees in the backyard DONE
  • Build a new set of stairs down to the water.
  • Fill the field {with soil} DONE
  • Remodel 1 bathroom
  • Replace fireplace tile
  • Build window boxes for the front of the house
  • Build an arbor for the wisteria {We decided to move the wisteria to another location instead}
  • Order 4 cords of firewood by the end of May and stack them DONE
  • Sand the floors in the entire house DONE
  • Install new garage door openers DONE {new addition}

My House Projects For This Year {so far}

I still have some trim and a door to paint and need to find something to hang over our console table but other than that, I’m nearly done with my house goals for this year.

Things I need to get done this year:

  • Finish painting the outside of the house
  • Finish painting the inside of the house
  • Make something to hang above our new console table
  • Make it look like people actually live here {working on it!}
  • New window treatment for the kitchen window {Have it, just waiting for the HH to install it}

Try 24 New Recipes {22 down, 2 to go}

This past week I shared my recipe for Cranberry Coconut Bread. It’s lovely. You should make a loaf. 🙂

So far this year I have shared the following recipes:

Listen to 12 Audiobooks {13/12 so far} DONE

No new audiobooks this past week.

Audiobooks I’ve listened to this year:
