My Big List of Goals I’m Going to Accomplish in 2022 Week 48 of 52

Here’s my big list of things I want to accomplish in 2022:

Remodel The Kitchen

The HH is currently researching espresso makers and grinders and mapping out their size on the kitchen counter.

Not being a coffee drinker I have zero opinion on the matter other than I’m excited that I’ll soon be able to request steamed milk with my afternoon teas and most likely be drinking more London Fogs. 🙂

Sell Enough Rugs to Buy an AGA Stove DONE!!!

I hit my goal of selling enough of my 2022 hooked rugs and pillows in my Etsy shop to pay for my new Duck Egg Blue AGA cooker. But since the stove was damaged… We have to wait until the end of May 2023 for the new one to arrive.

Fill the Canning Cupboard DONE

Note to self: Can triple the amount of apple pie filling next year. I’ve been making so many cranberry and apple galettes lately, that I’m down to just 6 jars.

So far this year I have canned:

Not canned, but in jars:

Earn Enough Money Selling {?????} To Pay For Our 2022 Grocery Tab By The End Of The Year.

I’ve decided to move this goal to 2023.

I just didn’t have enough time to devote to this goal this year. I had planned on making a few spinner gourd garlands this year for fall, but there is just too much other stuff going on right now to make it a priority.

Eat More Fruits and Vegetables.

Lot’s of potatoes and corn this week. 🙂

Keep The Crafts… In The Craft Room.

No comment.

Tap Our 2 Maple Trees and Make Maple Syrup {DONE}

It was a good experience, and we’re going to do it again next year {although I would like to find a few more trees to tap so our yield is a bit higher}.

Make a Quilt Top

My cut quilt squares and quilting fabric for the background have been shipped off my friend Zoë. Her sewing calendar is pretty full right now, but she has me on her list for January.

1 Craft / Blog Free Day a Week {I’ve had 49 craft/blog free days this year so far.}

Yesterday, the HH and I took advantage of the Bank of America free museum days and visited the Farnsworth museum in Rockland, Maine for free.

While we were out we also came across an independent bookstore and a new coffee shop. It was a good {and inexpensive!} date day.

Be More Intentional With My Time

I had planned on drawing out some new rug hooking patterns but ended up spending my extra time making wreaths for the barn and decorating for Christmas.

Usually The Girl is the one who puts up the tree and all the decorations but the timing wasn’t right this year so I did it. And of course the HH made his contribution as well. 😉

Keep My Husband Busy

The HH kept busy with his man chores {putting in snow sticks, getting the car ready for winter, checking the dock, taking a trip to the recycling center and various other things} this week.

The HH’s Honey Do List {so far} for 2022

My House Projects For This Year {so far}

I still have some trim and a door to paint and need to find something to hang over our console table but other than that, I’m nearly done with my house goals for this year.

Things I need to get done this year:

  • Finish painting the outside of the house
  • Finish painting the inside of the house
  • Make something to hang above our new console table
  • Make it look like people actually live here {working on it!}
  • New window treatment for the kitchen window {Have it, just waiting for the HH to install it}

Try 24 New Recipes DONE

I shared 2 new recipes this past week; Cranberry Apple Galettes and Chicken Corn Chowder

So far this year I have shared the following recipes:

Listen to 12 Audiobooks {13/12 so far} DONE

I picked up I’ll Build a Stairway to Paradise: A Life of Bunny Mellon at the bookstore yesterday and I’m excited to get started on it {hopefully tonight}.

I listened to Bunny Mellon: The Life of an American Style Legend a while back and thought she was an interesting {and very complex} person so I was happy to see a new book about her.
