Green Goddess Avocado Toast

Green Goddess Avocado Toast Hey everyone! Happy NEW WEEK! I’m stopping in with a simple breakfast, snack, or lunch idea for you! It’s really no secret that breakfast-type foods are really great anytime! So, if you’re looking for some food inspiration today, I hope this post does the trick! I had some leftover asparagus, so I decided to go with the green goddess theme, and it came out FAB! I love getting extra veggies in at breakfast anytime I can! Use whatever you happen to have at home. It will turn out great! Ezekiel bread is one of those items that many love, and many don’t love – however, I’d like to encourage you to TOAST IT. I don’t really...

Ever Heard of a “Mondegreen”?

When I am driving, I like to listen to the radio and, if I am alone, that is the one place that I feel safe singing along. (If you can call what I do singing!) I belt out the words at the top of my lungs! I am embarrassed to say that I frequently misquote the actual lyrics. Sometimes it is just hard to understand the words of the artist, and I don’t stop to think if what I am saying makes sense. You too? Getting my money’s worth in Emirates first class: Bottomless Champagne and endless caviar

Flying first class on Emirates is one of the most exclusive experiences in the sky, and it has a sky-high price tag to boot. After all, suites with closing doors, unlimited caviar, bottomless Champagne, on-demand meals, moisturizing pajamas and even inflight showers come at a cost. No wonder tickets between Dubai and the U.S. in Emirates first class regularly price at over $10,000 … each way! Back in September, though, I was able to book a one-way ticket from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) to Frankfurt Airport (FRA) via Dubai International Airport(DXB) for the (relatively) inexpensive grand total of $3,168. The first leg would be aboard an Airbus A380 with the airline’s older but still fabulous first-class suites. For the second...

How To Get Your Family To Eat More Vegetables With the new year officially in swing, we can bet you’ve been thinking about what new year’s resolutions you’ll be setting this year or what goals you have for you and your family.  One of those goals may be to improve your family’s eating habits. For many parents, this often includes getting their kids to eat more vegetables. This is perhaps one of parents’ most common struggles with their kids. As frustrating as it can be, it is entirely normal. But just because it’s “normal” doesn’t mean you have to accept it without doing your part to promote a higher vegetable intake.  So how can you get your family to eat...

Quinoa Breakfast Bowl and more GF/DF Ideas

by Aimee Hello readers! Thank you all so much for the warm response to my last, deeply personal post ‘New Year, New Journey‘. It was very moving to hear your stories; and I thank you for sharing. I really appreciate all the advice, and feel your support. It’s taken some time to adjust to our Food Adventure (as we are calling it instead of elimination diet) but we are taking it one day at a time. At first, eating gluten-free and dairy-free is all consuming…you can’t let up for one minute or there’s a kiddo slipping whole grain tortilla chips into the grocery cart. After a few weeks, however, a few favourite dishes emerge, and you start to forget all...
